Site Description and Birding Information: The marshy back channel of the Rideau River as you cross to the small island provides opportunity to watch for waterfowl in season and marsh birds in summer on either side of the road. A Great Blue Heron often feeds here. Listen for House Wren on the island and, at the road's end scan the main channel of the Rideau River.
