Independent Directions to this Site: From Highway 417 (The Queensway) take exit 145 (Highway 7). The offramp continues directly as Highway 7. Continue south, the southwest on Highway 7 for 40.2 km to Drummond Concession 10B. Turn left or NE onto Drummond Concession 10B and drive c. 1/2 km to the end of the drivable portion. Park here and continue NE walking into the Mississippi Lake National Wildlife Area.
Mississippi River Valley Route Directions: From the Goodwood Marsh from Highway 15, return NW on Highway 15 for 9.5 km to Highway 7. Turn left or west on Highway 7 and follow it 18.0 km to Drummond Concession 10B. Turn left or NE onto Drummond Concession 10B and drive c. 1/2 km to the end of the drivable portion. Park here and continue NE walking into the Mississippi Lake National Wildlife Area.

Site Description and Birding Information: Check the Mississippi River crossing at Innisville, 1.6 km north of Drummond 10B. When you reach the end of Drummond 10B, you can walk the remaining 0.5 km or so to the lakeshore by either the old roadway track or the edge of the adjacent field. The lakeshore provides an excellent view of of a shallow cove with emergent vegetation. Waterfowl, marsh birds, swallows, etc. should be expected in season.

Mississippi River Valley Route Directions: This is the final site on the Mississippi River Valley Loop. To return to Ottawa, simply return SW on Drummond Concession 10B to Highway 7. Turn right or north on to Highway 7 and drive 40.2 km NE to exit 145 of the Queensway or Highway 417. Follow the 417 west 25 km to Ottawa.
