Site Description and Birding Information: This park, directly across Riverside Drive from the Billings Bridge Plaza, is a lovely spot to have a picnic. It is directly across the Rideau River from the Brewer Park site on the Rideau River West Side route. The northeast end of this park is adjacent the Billings Bridge site on the Rideau River West Side route. The flock of ducks that winter here is often divided between these two sites, depending on where the handouts are. Some old willows along the river provide migrant shelter. During the warmer months, the city puts its clipped swans on this section of river.
         Rarities seen there include: Yellow-throated Warbler (Oct. 15, 1999), Caspian Tern (4 - July 7, 2004), Snowy Egret (Apr. 26, 2005), Great Egret (Apr. 22 - May 3, 2006).
