Site Description and Birding Information: This relatively new park looks like it might have some minor birding potential as it matures. Located in the western section of the mostly goose grazing lawns that make up much of the park is a beautiful little pond, complete with small island and cattails. A small patch of mature deciduous trees with a well worn path graces the southeastern corner.
Outside the park itself, but within walking distance, are two other areas one could check. One area is the scrub west of the Baseline Transit station. The other is the small patch of woods south of Tallwood Drive. A bike path crosses it from Woodroffe Avenue, opposite Norice Street, to Pinetrail Crescent, off Centrepointe Drive south of Tallwood.
