Independent Directions to this Site: From Highway 417 (The Queensway) take exit 145 (Highway 7). The offramp continues directly as Highway 7. Continue south, the southwest on Highway 7 for 18.6 km to the Derry Sideroad (County Road 17). Turn left or southeast onto it and go 2.7 km to 9th Line Beckwith. Turn right or SW onto 9th Line and go 0.7 km to the Jock River at 9th Line Beckwith.
Mississippi River Valley Route Directions: From the Jock River at Cemetery Sideroad, return SE along Cemetery for 0.2 km to 9th Line Beckwith. Turn right or SW onto 9th Line and go 0.7 km to the Jock River at 9th Line Beckwith.

Site Description and Birding Information: There are views here on either side of the extensive marshland along the Jock River. On June 13, 2010 a family of Trumpeter Swans, 2 adults and four unfledged young, was discovered on the river here. They are presumed to have nested close by, a first record for the Ottawa Circle. They were present at least until June 27.

The adults of this family returned to the river by March 20, 2011. They presumably intend to nest again nearby.

Mississippi River Valley Route Directions: From the Jock River at 9th Line Beckwith, continue SW along 9th Line for 3.3 km to Highway 15 at Blacks Corners. Turn left or SE onto Highway 15 and go 3.2 km to 7th Line Beckwith. Turn left or NE on 7th Line and proceed c. 2 km to the next site on this route, the 7th Line Beckwith.
